CHRISTINE CANNON

Christine Edwards Cannon, 84, of Texarkana, Texas, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, in a local retirement home. <br />Mrs. Cannon was born March 19, 1924, in Clifty, Ky. She was a homemaker, a former teacher and a member of Walnut Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Cannon, in June 2000. <br />Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, John and Linda Cannon of Texarkana, Hershel Cannon of Little Rock and Charles and Mitzie Cannon of Searcy, Ark.; one brother, Paul Edwards of Philadelphia; one sister, Clarice Campbell of Long Beach, Calif.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. <br />Services will be 1 p.m. today at Chapelwood Funeral Home with Patrick L. Cannon officiating.
