JOSEPHINE POST

Josephine W. “Miss Josie” Post, 103, of Bowie County, Texas, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009. <br />Mrs. Post was born Feb. 13, 1905, in Avery, Texas. She was a charter member, Sunday school teacher and choir member of Highland Park Baptist Church and a member of First Baptist Church, Downtown. She was preceded in death by her husband, R.E. Post Sr. <br />Survivors include one son, R.E. Jr. and Willistene Post; two grandchildren and spouses, Deborah and Jeffrey Cather of Anchorage and Larry W. and Mela Post of Houston; two great-grandsons, Garrett Post and Warren Post of Houston; and one special friend, Una Mae Post of Kerrville, Texas. <br />Services will be 3:30 p.m. today at Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Revs. Kevin Myers and Larry Post officiating. Burial will be under direction of East Funeral Home, Moores Lane. <br />Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Memorials may be made to Highland Park Baptist Church. <br />Online registration is at www.mem.com. <br /> <br />
