RICHARD JOHNSON

ATLANTA, Texas—Richard A. “Sunny Boy” Johnson, 77, of Domino, Texas, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, in a Texarkana hospital. <br />Mr. Johnson was born Jan. 17, 1932, in Kansas City, Mo. He was a member of St. Paul CME Church, Domino, Texas, and an Army veteran. <br />Survivors include his wife, Barbara Jean Johnson; two children, Dorcus Gates and Darryl Johnson; four stepchildren, Tony Walker, Debra Walker, Kevin Walker and Mark Walker; one sister, Marvyn Pegue; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. <br />Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Golden Gate Baptist Church with the Rev. John L. Reed officiating. Burial will be in Ware Cemetery under direction of Community Mortuary. <br />Visitation will be after 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church. <br /> <br />
