GERALD WILCOX

Gerald Hiram Wilcox, 84, of Texarkana, Texas, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, at his home. <br />Mr. Wilcox was born Feb. 19, 1925, in Parkin, Ark. He was a retired judge, former owner of Rodeway Inn, a life member of Masonic Lodge 50 in Michigan, a member of Moose Lodge, Lions Club, VFW and American Legion, a Shriner and a World War II Marine veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Harriett Wilcox; and one grandson, Jason Wilcox. <br />Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Gary and Dow Wilcox of Texarkana and Michael H. Wilcox of Jackson, Mich.; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Leroy and Mary Jane Wilcox and Berna Wilcox of Jackson; three special friends, Landon Meador, Jesse Johnson and Ann Baird; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Graveside services will be 4 p.m. today in Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Jay Stine officiating. Entombment will be under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas. <br />Family will be at 2904 Woodland, Texarkana, Ark., following the service. <br />Online registration is at www.texarkanafuneralhome.com. <br /> <br />
