JAMES WHATLEY

HOPE, Ark.—James F. Whatley, 69, of Hope died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, in a Texarkana hospital. <br />Mr. Whatley was born Feb. 14, 1940, in Hempstead County, Ark. He was a retired truck driver, a retired manager from Nest-Fresh Egg Plant of Blevins, Ark., and a member of Anderson Baptist Church, Spring Hill, Ark. <br />Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Nolen Whatley of Hope; three daughters and one son-in-law, Connie Comire of Concord, N.H., Daffney “Dee Dee” Whatley of Washington state and Gina Belinda Whatley and Scott Thomason of New Boston, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, R. Clifford and Ophelia Whatley of Spring Hill; one sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie Nell and Kenneth Stone of Hope; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home with the Revs. Larry Brown and Eric Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Cemetery, Spring Hill. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Online registration is at www.brazzelfuneralhomes.com. <br /> <br />
