MARGIE VICKERS

HOPE, Ark.—Margie Vickers, 70, of Hope died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, in Hope. <br />Mrs. Vickers was born July 23, 1938, in Springhill, Ark. She was employed with Foster Land and Realty, retired Hempstead County Treasurer, past member of Hemstead County foundation and Arkansas County Treasurers Association and a member of Hope Business and Professional Women’s Club, Democratic Women’s Club, 4-H Club Foundation and First United Methodist Church. <br />Survivors include one brother, John William Vickers of Hope; two sisters, Brenda Steed of Laneburg, Ark., and Betty Stevenson of Hope; two nephews, Brian Steed of Murphy, Texas, and Wesley Stevenson of Hope; two nieces, Melanie Dye of Little Rock and Molly Maidel Vickers of Hope; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home with Jerry Westmoreland officiating. Burial will be in Huckabee Cemetery. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Relatives will be at the home of Betty Stevenson, 1407 Shover Road, Hope. <br />Online registration is at www.pharrfuneralhomes.com. <br /> <br />
