MAURINE McALEXANDER

Maurine Kirkland McAlexander, 82, of Linden, Texas, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, after a lengthy illness. <br />Mrs. McAlexander was born March 2, 1926, in Linden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Wayne McAlexander. <br />Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Marvelle and Bill Hanna, Clarice and Jim Scherder and Carol and Randy Dozier; one son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Denise McAlexander; one sister, Modena Pate; one brother, B.R. Kirkland; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at New Colony Baptist Church. Burial will be in New Colony Cemetery under direction of Hanner Funeral Service. <br />Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church. <br />Memorials may be made to New Colony Baptist Church, 3086 Hwy 59 North, Linden, TX, 75563. <br /> <br />
