PEARLINE SURRY

Pearline Stevenson Surry, 79, of Texarkana, Ark., died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009, in a local nursing home. <br />Mrs. Surry was born Dec. 25, 1929, in Garland, Ark. She was a cook and a member and choir member of College Hill Missionary Baptist Church. <br />Survivors include four sons, Leroy Hughes of Texarkana, Timothy Stevenson of Lewisville, Ark., Terry Owens of Oklahoma City and Henry Stevenson of Little Rock; eight daughters, Willie Mae Russell of Santa Monica, Calif., Christine Martin, Lois Green, Emma Noble and Rosie Thomas of Texarkana, Shirley Martin and Karen Cheatham of Upper Marboro, Md., and Opal Anderson of Lewisville, Ark.; 29 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. <br />Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at College Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Clifton Murray officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home. <br />Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br /> <br />
