HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas—Helen Anderson, 74, of Hughes Springs died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, in a Dallas hospital. <br />Mrs. Anderson was born Feb. 26, 1934, in Paris, Texas. She was a worker with Conifer Council of Girl Scouts, a member of The Modern Study Club and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane “Doc” Anderson. <br />Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Gina and Ken Niesman of Dallas and Sissy and Mike Miller of Hughes Springs; and four grandchildren and one grandson-in-law, Josh Miller of Longview, Texas, Tyler Miller of Tyler, Texas, and Heather and Brian Baker and Zachary Niesman of Dallas. <br />Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Hughes Springs Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Neeley officiating. Burial will be in Hughes Springs Cemetery under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. <br />Online registration is at www.reeder-davis.com. <br /> <br />
