JOE RIERA

Joe Riera, 73, of Texarkana, Ark., died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, at his home. <br />Mr. Riera was born April 30, 1935, in Bishop, Va. He was retired from Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., a member of Rondo United Methodist Church and an Army veteran. <br />Survivors include his wife, Willa Riera of Texarkana; one son and daughter-in-law, Webb and Kristal Riera of Sulphur Springs, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Dickey Smalling of Atlanta, Ga., and Cathy and Dan Butler of Texarkana; one sister, Mary Jones of Bossier City, La.; and seven grandchildren. <br />Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas, with Dr. Tandy Hanson officiating. Burial with military rites will be in East Memorial Gardens. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Memorials may be made to Rondo United Methodist Church, 2335 N.
