LUCILLE WHITLEY

DE QUEEN, Ark.—Lucille Craig Whitley, 92, of De Queen died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, at her home. <br />Mrs. Whitley was born Aug. 26, 1916, in Quitman, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Union Quilting Club, Extension Homemakers Club and Memorial Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Lee “Bill” Whitley, in 1983. <br />Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Jane Whitley of Horatio, Ark.; two daughters, Lou Colbert of De Queen and Brenda Murphy of Dallas; one brother and sister-in-law, Clovis and Jimna Craig of De Queen; two sisters, Jewel Ward of Bossier City, La., and Helen Long of De Queen; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. <br />Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Redmen Cemetery with Paul Ramler officiating.
