NELL PETERSON

MARKS, Miss.—Nell Poland Peterson, 89, of Marks died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, in a Clarksdale, Miss., hospital. <br />Mrs. Peterson was born June 15, 1919, in Oxford, Miss. She was a homemaker and a member of Marks Garden Club and First Baptist Church. <br />Survivors include her husband, James Denman Peterson Jr. of Marks; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Patricia and Ralph Lawson of Dyersburg, Tenn., Keturah and Bill Williams of Metairie, La., and Harriet Rooks of Starksville, Miss.; two sons and daughters-in-law, James Denman III and Sharon Peterson of Lewisville, Ark., and Jack and Lilly Butler of Marks; and a number of other relatives. <br />Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Marks Cemetery with the Rev. James Tidwell and Dr. Laurie Jones officiating. Burial will be under direction of Kimbro Funeral Home. <br /> <br />
