PATTIE CARTER

Pattie June Moody Carter, 77, of McKinney, Texas, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, at her home. <br />Mrs. Carter was born June 2, 1931, in Texarkana, Texas. She was a thoroughbred horse breeder, former president of Texarkana Jayceettes, former member of Bonham Chamber of Commerce Board and a member of Texas Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association and St. Andrew United Methodist Church, Plano, Texas. <br />Survivors include her husband, Charles Ballard Carter of McKinney; two children, Cathie Carter Walsh of Plano and Charles Ballard Carter Jr. of Memphis, Tenn.; one daughter-in-law, Carla Gilliland Carter of Memphis; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Kenneth and Dolores Moody and Steve Moody of Longview, Texas; five grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be noon Saturday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Margaret Watkins officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens. <br />Memorials may be made to Lambuth University Development Office, 705 Lambuth Blvd., Jackson, Tenn., 38301. <br /> <br />
