IDABEL, Okla.—Lavern Willis, 77, of Idabel died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, in Paris, Texas. <br />Mrs. Willis was born Feb. 22, 1931, in Idabel. She was preceded in death by one husband, James Howard. <br />Survivors include her husband, Jess Willis of Idabel; two sons, Jimmy Howard and Bobby Harold Howard of Idabel; two daughters, Sherry Clay and Mary Lou Hunter of Idabel; four stepchildren, James Willis of Oregon, Jesse Willis of Hollycreek community, Okla., and Kevin Willis and Becky Fletcher of Broken Bow, Okla.; one half-sister, Pat Oliphant of Chanute, Kan.; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Conley-White Funeral Home with Kelly Thomas and Jay Johnson officiating.
