ROBERT HOFFMAN

Robert Gene Hoffman, 80, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, in a local hospital. <br />Mr. Hoffman was born Jan. 9, 1928, in Fairfax, S.D. He was retired from the Army. <br />Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Irmgard and James Stewart of Hope, Ark.; one sister, Ruth McCrary of Lake of the Ozarks, Mo.; one brother, Ted Hoffman of Denver, Colo.; two grandchildren, Chris Stewart of Benton, Ark., and Kristina Daon of Fairway, Kan.; four great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio.
