MARY ABNEY

FOREMAN, Ark.—Mary Lee Smith Abney, 88, of Foreman died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, in an Ashdown, Ark., hospital. <br />Mrs. Abney was born June 5, 1920, in King Ryder community, Ark. She was a homemaker and a member of Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Abney. <br />Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Layvonne Burney of Texarkana and Sam and Mary Cross of Foreman; one special sister, Ona Lisenby of Foreman; five grandchildren, Randy, Mike, Trina, Kevin and Jay; 11 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. today at Church of Christ, Foreman, with Billy Blakley officiating. Burial will be in Campground Cemetery under direction of Madden Funeral Home. <br />
