GOLDIE HAMILTON

Goldie Hamilton, 85, of Wake Village, Texas, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, in a local hospital. <br />Mrs. Hamilton was born Nov. 25, 1923, in Linden, Texas. She was retired from Dillard’s and a Baptist. <br />Survivors include her husband, Lemuel David Hamilton of Wake Village; three daughters and one son-in-law, Ida Jean and Curtis Kennedy of Texarkana, Davetta Hamilton Clark of Longview, Texas, and Judy Hamilton Ervin of Wake Village; four sisters, Roxie Bennett of Gladewater, Texas, Reba Harrison of Texarkana, Ruby Carr of Phoenix and Doris Wilson of Redford, Mich.; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. <br />Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at East Memorial Gardens with Dr. Jerry Creek officiating. Burial will be under the direction of East Funeral Home, downtown. <br />Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. <br />Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or Hospice of Texarkana. <br />Online registration is at www.mem.com. <br /> <br />
