ISIAH JOHNSTON

Isiah Johnston, 92, of Texarkana, Texas, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, in a local hospital. <br />Mr. Johnston was born Sept. 12, 1916, in Nash, Texas. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Boy Scouts of America and Pleasant Grove Christian Church and a World War II Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae Johnston. <br />Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Sharon Johnston of Canyon Lake, Texas; one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Anna Johnston and Chris Park of San Marcos, Texas; one grandson, Steve Johnston of Keller, Texas; three great-grandsons; and a number of other relatives.. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at East Funeral Home, Moores Lane, with David Scurlock and Jeff Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, Pleasant Grove Christian Church or the charity of choice. <br />Online registration is at www.mem.com. <br /> <br />
