MATTIE QUEEN

CLARKSVILLE, Texas—Mattie M. Queen, 73, of Avery, Texas, died Wednesday, July 8, 2009, in a DeKalb, Texas, nursing home. <br />Mrs. Queen was born Feb. 10, 1936, in Avery. She was retired from Sunny Acres Nursing Home and a Methodist. <br />Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Kenny Lamon of Avery and Margaret and Joe Queen of DeKalb; one nephew and niece-in-law, Dennis and Vickie Crum of Avery; eight grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren. <br />Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday in Pine Springs Cemetery with Billy Hooker officiating.
