OBIE WASHINGTON

STAMPS, Ark.—Obie D. Washington, 68, of Stamps died Saturday, July 18, 2009, in a Little Rock nursing home. <br />Mr. Washington was born May 26, 1941, in Waldo, Ark. <br />Survivors include six children, Macheryl White of Little Rock, Neca Scarber and Obie Scarber of Magnolia, Ark., Obie Darron Washington of Fort Worth, Texas, Tereance Washington of Dallas and Obie Washington II of Stamps; five sisters, Dorothy Joe of Detroit, Mich., and Delois Brock, Johnny Mae Green, Mary Colvin and Eva Mae Johnson of Stamps; three brothers, Fred Washington and A.G. Washington of Stamps and James Washington of Detroit; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Wager Smith officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. <br /> <br />
