RONALD POWELL

NAPLES, Texas—Ronald Dean Powell, 69, of Cornett, Texas died Friday, July 24, 2009, in a Mount Pleasant, Texas, hospital. <br />Mr. Powell was born June 29, 1940, in Stoneham, Mass. He was a retired registered nurse, a retired captain with the Army and a member of Mount Pleasant Seventh Day Adventist Church. <br />Survivors include his wife, Betty Powell of Cornett; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald Dean III and Sharon Powell of Cornett; one daughter, Robin Lanice Powell of Cornett; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Mount Pleasant Seventh Day Adventist Church with Joe McWilliam officiating. Burial will be in Cornett Cemetery under direction of Harrison Funeral Home. <br />Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. <br /> <br />
