GEORGE McCOY

DAINGERFIELD, Texas—George McCoy, 78, of Daingerfield died Tuesday, July 28, 2009, in Daingerfield. <br />Mr. McCoy was born Aug. 29, 1930, in Daingerfield. He was a retired truck driver with Day & Zimmermann, a member of Lone Star Baptist Church and an Army veteran. He was preceded in death by one son, Tim McCoy; one daughter, Debra McCoy; and one grandson, Cody McCoy. <br />Survivors include his wife, Dorothy McCoy of Daingerfield; two sons and daughters-in-law, George and Sara McCoy of Rocky Branch, Texas, and Luke and Katherine McCoy of New Boston, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Dwayne Staples of Daingerfield; one sister, Fostine Goin of Albuquerque, N.M.; one brother, Willie McCoy of Daingerfield; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Daingerfield Cemetery with Scott Darby and Dudley Childs officiating. Burial will be under direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br /> <br />
