JOYCE ACKER

NEW BOSTON, Texas—Joyce Acker, 87, of Hooks, Texas, died Monday, June 22, 2009, at her home. <br />Mrs. Acker was born Oct. 4, 1921, in Bonham, Texas. She was a hairdresser and a member of Myrtle Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Acker. <br />Survivors include two brothers and one sister-in-law, Buster Cappleman of Oxford, Miss., and Eddie Joe and Carolyn Cappleman of Luling, Texas; one sister, Peggy Graham of New Boston; and a number of other relatives. <br />Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Myrtle Springs Cemetery, Hooks, with the Rev. Michael Hadaway officiating. Burial will be under direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Relatives will be 211 Camelia, Hooks. <br />Online registration is at www.batesrolffuneralhome.com. <br /> <br />
