J.R. COLE

J.R. Cole, 81, of Texarkana died Monday, June 22, 2009, in a local nursing home. <br />Mr. Cole was born Sept. 1, 1927, in Bauxite, Ark. He was employed with the Corp of Engineers, Farm Bureau Insurance and auto sales and was a Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret “Ma” Cole. <br />Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Cole and Monica Thomason of North Richland Hills, Texas, Ray and Linda Crisp Cole of Redwater, Texas, and Ronnye and Michelle Rodgers Cole of Lowell, Ark.; two sisters, Pat Carter of Conway, Ark., and Billie Jean O’Shield of Odessa, Texas; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives. <br />Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday at Martin Cemetery, Little Rock.
