CHARLES TILMON JR.

Charles Erbie Tilmon Jr., 72, of Texarkana, Ark., died Friday, March 6, 2009, in a local hospital. <br />Mr. Tilmon was born Oct. 26, 1936, in Little Rock, Ark. He was a lawyer, former Miller County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, a farmer, a member of Miller County Farm Bureau Board of Directors, Arkansas State Plant Board, Boll Weevil Eradication Committee, McKinney Bayou Drainage District, a member of Sugar Hill United Methodist Church. <br />Survivors include his wife, Cecilia Ann Cox Tilmon of Texarkana; one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Bruce Lilly of Prairieville, La.; one son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Lisa Tilmon of Rogers, Ark.; one sister and brother-in-law, Nancy Tilmon and Alfred Tennison of Texarkana; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cecil and Juanita Cox of Fulton, Ark.; five grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Monday at East Funeral Home, Downtown with Dr. Herb Wren officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Memorials may be made to Sugar Hill United Methodist Church Building Fund. <br /> <br />
