CHARLES IRVIN

HOPE, Ark.—Charles Denman Irvin, 68, of Chidester, Ark., died Wednesday, March 11, 2009, in El Dorado, Ark. <br />Mr. Irvin was born Dec. 10, 1940, in Nevada County, Ark. He was a retired farmer, a butcher, a member of Whites Chapel Church, Bodcaw, Ark., and an Army veteran. He was preceded in death by one son, Tommy Horton. <br />Survivors include his wife, Elvis Clark Irvin of Chidester; four sons, Jimmy Horton of Hope, Morrell Irving of Pineville, Mo., and Morris Irvin and Gabe Irvin of Chidester; two daughters, Terri Bailey and Debra Greenhaw of Chidester; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. <br />Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Union Cemetery, Bodcaw, with Gordon Rogers officiating. Burial will be under direction of Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Online registration is at www.pharrfuneralhomes.com. <br /> <br />
