ANDY BROWN

ATLANTA, Texas—Andy Brown, 76, of Douglassville, Texas, died Friday, March 13, 2009, in Douglassville. <br />Mr. Brown was born Oct. 30, 1932, in Arkansas. He was a retired postmaster for the Postal Service, Springhill, La., volunteer for Meals on Wheels, member of Springhill American Legion Post, First Baptist Church, Maud, Texas, and a Korean War Navy veteran. <br />Survivors include his wife, Verba Heath-Brown of Douglassville; one son, Sam Brown of Paris, Texas; two stepsons, Ben Heath and Dan Heath of Douglassville; two daughters, Suzan Foster of Doddridge, Ark., and Lisa Lynch of DeBerry, Texas; two stepdaughters, Donna Magahee of Houston and Kathy Heath of Austin, Texas; two brothers, Walter Lee Brown of Mississippi and Amos Brown of Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church, Maud, with the Rev. Mark Ritchey officiating. Burial will be in Douglassville Cemetery under direction of Hanner Funeral Service. <br />Online registration is at www.hannerfuneralservice.com. <br /> <br />
