HATTIE GAYTON

Hattie Mae Gayton, 89, of Texarkana, Texas, died Saturday, March 14, 2009, in a local hospital. <br />Mrs. Gayton was born Jan. 9, 1920, in McCaskill, Ark. She was a homemaker, a foster parent and a former financial clerk and member of Mount Grove Baptist Church. <br />Survivors include her husband, John H. Gayton of Texarkana; four sons, David Ford of Little Rock and John H. Walker, Rodney Hartfield and Lynwood Hughey of Texarkana; three daughters, Mattie Patterson of Inglewood, Calif., Michelle Gayton of Texarkana and Jo Ann Scott of Arlington, Texas; one sister, Theters Curley of Los Angeles; 23 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. <br />Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. David Lee officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under direction of Lyles Funeral Home. <br />Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br /> <br />
