INEZ HALBROOK

LUFKIN, Texas—Inez Dowdle Halbrook, 100, of Lufkin died Monday, March 23, 2009, in Lufkin. <br />Mrs. Halbrook was born Sept. 5, 1908, in Prairieville, Texas. She was a teacher and a member of Eastern Star and Delta Kappa Gamma. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Halbrook. <br />Survivors include her children, Gary Halbrook of Lufkin, Danny Halbrook of Daingerfield, Texas, Linda Preston of Houston and Lana Cox of Marrero, La.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Eubank Funeral Home with the Rev. David Tidmore officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. <br />Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. <br /> <br />
