LON MARSHALL JR.

HOPE, Ark.—Lon Marshall Jr., 82, of Hope died Friday, May 8, 2009, in a local hospital. <br />Mr. Marshall was born Feb. 28, 1927. He was a retired civil service employee, a Baptist and a World War II Army veteran. He was preceded in death by one son, Eddie Frank Marshall. <br />Survivors include his wife, Rosie Marie Hill Marshall of Hope; one son, Lon Howard Marshall of Oakland, Calif.; one daughter, Letricia Manuel of Phoenix, Ariz.; one stepson, Alvin Mills of Hope; two sisters, Joy Keaton of Oakland, Calif., and Eddie Mae Sanders of Denver, Colo.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. <br />Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Brandon’s Mortuary with the Rev. Lavern Hicks officiating. Burial will be in Cave Hill Cemetery. <br />Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br /> <br />
