JAMES HANEY

TRINITY, Texas—James Boyd “Jim” Haney, 71, of Trinity died Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at his home. <br />Mr. Haney was born May 6, 1938, in East St. Louis, Ill. He was a retired Army master sergeant, a life member of Buckmasters, a member of Paralyzed Veterans of America, National Rifle Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a Christian. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Keli Haney. <br />Survivors include his wife, Janet A. “Jan” Haney of Trinity; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Scott and Nettie Haney of Mount Pleasant, Texas, and Phillip Haney of Corpus Christi, Texas; one brother, John Robert “Bob” Haney of Hutchinson, Kan.; two sisters, Phyllis Fletcher of New Jersey and Sandra Bennett of Kansas; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jackie and James B. Vaughn of Texarkana; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Houston National Cemetery Chapel with the Rev. Ron Conatser officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Houston National Cemetery under direction of Trinity Funeral Home. <br />Memorials may be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America, 801 Eighteenth St., NW, Washington, D.C. 20006-3517 or Risin Sun Cowboy Church, Trinity, Texas. <br /> <br />
