MICHAEL HICKS

HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas—Michael E. “Sarge” Hicks, 51, of Hughes Springs died Thursday, May 14, 2009, in a Pittsburg, Texas, hospital. <br />Mr. Hicks was born Dec. 21, 1957, in Bryan, Texas. He was employed in maintenance with Hughes Springs ISD, a member of South Union Baptist Church, Jenkins, Texas, and a Marine Corp, Army and Coast Guard veteran. <br />Survivors include his wife, Jane Hicks of Daingerfield, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Casey and Tabitha Hicks of Daingerfield; one daughter, Nicole Hicks of Daingerfield; his parents, Charles and Marilyn Hicks of Daingerfield; one brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Sheila Hicks of Jacksonville, Texas; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at South Union Baptist Church, Jenkins, with the Revs. Chad Thompson and Jack Yoder officiating. Burial will be in Clark Cemetery under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. <br />Online registration is at <br />www.reeder-davis.com. <br /> <br />
