AMOS McCULLOCH

Amos McCulloch, 95, of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at his home. <br />Mr. McCulloch was born Jan. 11, 1914, in New Boston, Texas. He was a former service station owner, former employee of McCulloch Electric and Appliance and Interstate Electric, co-founder of Wholesale Electric Supply Co., national director of Junior Chamber of Commerce, past president of Texarkana Kiwanis, board member of Texarkana Chamber of Commerce, Commercial National Bank and Texarkana Country Club and a World War II veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn. <br />Survivors include four children and three spouses, Margaret McCulloch and Buddy and Lee Ann McCulloch of Texarkana and Amy McCulloch and Billy Farr and Karen McCulloch and Bob Moody of Austin; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Ruth McCulloch and Jean Webster of New Boston and Linder McCulloch Bryan of Texarkana; six grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. today at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Larry Sims officiating. Burial will be under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home. <br />Visitation will be after the service at the home of Buddy and Lee Ann McCulloch. <br />Memorials may be made to Hospice of Texarkana, Opportuni-ties Inc. or Harvest Texarkana. <br />Online registration is at www.chapelwoodfuneralhome.com. <br /> <br />
