LAUGENE WILLIAMS

ASHDOWN, Ark.—Laugene Williams, 89, of Ashdown died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, in Ashdown. <br />Mrs. Williams was born Feb. 20, 1920, in Little River County, Ark. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doc Williams. <br />Survivors include seven sons, James Williams of Dallas, Cleophus Williams and Jim Williams of Texarkana, Texas, and Doc Williams, Lee Williams, Henry Williams and Joe Williams of Ashdown; two daughters, Louis Banks of Ashdown and Helen McClendon of Levenworth, Kan.; one sister, Rezell June of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at New Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Davis officiating. Burial will be in Rhodes Cemetery under direction of Madden Funeral Home. <br />Wake services will begin 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. <br /> <br />
