ROY ROBERTS

Roy J. Roberts, 92, of Texarkana, Ark., died Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, died Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, in a local hospital. <br />Mr. Roberts was born May 7, 1917, in Bright Star, Ark. He was retired from Red River Army Depot, a member of Gideons and Beech Street First Baptist Church and a World War II veteran. <br />Survivors include his wife, Juanita Roberts of Texarkana; one stepdaughter, Anita Roberts of De Queen, Ark.; one stepson, Lyndon Fenton of Weatherford, Texas; one sister, Allene Vestal of Queen City; two brothers, W.W. Roberts of Kilgore, Texas, and Jack Roberts of Texarkana; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 10 a.m. today at East Funeral Home, Moores Lane, with the Rev. Jack Roberts officiating.
