BLANCH BYERS

HOPE, Ark.—Blanch Light Byers, 95, of Hope died Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009. <br />Mrs. Byers was born Feb. 1, 1914. She was a former teacher in Liberty Hill, employed with Byers Nursery and Greenhouse and a member of Shover Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Howell Byers; two sons, Wilton Wallace and Edward “Eddy” H. Byers; and one daughter. <br />Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Marian Byers of Hope; two granddaughters and one grandson-in-law, Amanda Byers of Conway, Ark., and Emily and Wayne Smith of Texarkana; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Shover Springs Baptist Church. Burial will be in Shover Springs Cemetery under direction of Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Online registration is at www.pharrfuneralhomes.com. <br /> <br />
