DAVID GIPSON

NEW BOSTON, Texas—David Leland Gipson, 58, of Simms, Texas, died Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, in a Texarkana hospital. <br />Mr. Gipson was born Nov. 29, 1950, in Naples, Texas. He was a welder at Red River Army Depot, a Baptist, and a member of the Masonic Lodge, Dalby Springs, Texas. <br />Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Karen Gipson of Maud, Texas, and Tim and Memorie Gipson of Simms; three grandsons, Jacob, Jayden and Cole; three granddaughters, Brittany, Brook and Brianna; one great-grandson; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Siloam Baptist Church, Simms, with Paul Beard officiating. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery under direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home. <br />Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Online registration is at www.batesrolffuneralhome.com.
