MARSHALL, Texas—Jewell Hancock Reel, 85, of Marshall died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, in Longview, Texas. <br />Mrs. Reel was born March 20, 1924, in Cherry Hill, Ark. She was a cosmetologist. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Nellie Martin Hobbs; one granddaughter, Lisa Lyn Hancock; and one great-granddaughter, Miranda Williams. <br />Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Cecil W. “Buddy” and Nora Hancock of Marshall; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Hancock and Gerald “Tuffy” Riddle of Queen City, Texas; three granddaughters, Debbie Martin Williams of Marshall, Traci Martin Mims of Texarkana, Texas, and Donna Riddle Sartor of McLeod, Texas; three grandsons, Gerald “Bubba” Martin and Lonnie Wayne Hancock of Marshall and Ricky Lynn Riddle of Hooks, Texas; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Downs Funeral Home with Carlton Burris officiating. Burial will be in Colonial Gardens Cemetery. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br /> <br />
