BEATRICE ALCORN

Beatrice Alcorn, 84, of Texarkana, Texas, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009, in a local hospital. <br />Mrs. Alcorn was born Dec. 24, 1924, in Texarkana, Ark. She was a member of Starks Hill Baptist Church. <br />Survivors include two sons, Emanuel Alcorn of Texarkana and Kennedy Alcorn of Dallas; seven daughters, Bessie Thompson of Oklahoma City, Emma Davis of Arlington, Texas, Bernice Green and Rosie Alcorn of Dallas, Birdie Jones of Wilton, Ark., Queen Stevens of Chicago and Lena Cotton of Texarkana; one sister, Louise Lane of Texarkana; 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Grove Baptist Church with Elvis Scott officiating.
