CLAUD DOWNS

NAPLES, Texas—Claud Wesley “Jake” Downs, 85, of Omaha, Texas, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, in a Mount Pleasant, Texas, hospital. <br />Mr. Downs was born Oct. 26, 1923, in Vincent, Okla. He was a warehouse manager with Darr Equipment, a rancher and a member of First Baptist Church, Finney Switch, Texas. He was preceded in death by one son, Wesley Ray Downs; and one daughter, Waunella Hall. <br />Survivors include his wife, Mary Downs of Omaha; three daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Doug Brown of Irving, Texas, James and Debbie LaFollet of Omaha and Dianna and Mike Williams of Bullard, Texas; one brother, Willy Downs of Lone Oak, Ark.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. <br />Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Harrison Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Conatser officiating. Burial will be in Omaha Cemetery, Omaha. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
