GEORGE TURNER

George Washington Turner, 73, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at his home. <br />Mr. Turner was born Dec. 3, 1935, in Garland City, Ark. <br />Survivors include three sons, Donald Turner, John Martin Jr. and Russell Martin of Texarkana; one daughter, Shirley Martin-Wilson of Wake Village, Texas; three sisters, Bonnie Lee, Evelyn Butler and Marie Brown of Texarkana; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at House of Refuge with the Rev. David Hardy officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under direction of Haynes Mortuary. <br />Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Online registration is at www.haynesmortuary.com.
