MAGGIE SMITH

Maggie Lee Smith, 75, of Fouke, Ark., died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, in a local hospital. <br />Mrs. Smith was born Feb. 16, 1934, in Miller County, Ark. She was retired from Fleetwood Trailers and a Christian. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Smith; and one son, Melvin Smith. <br />Survivors include one son, Tim Smith of Texarkana; three daughters, Cathy Baird of Big Sandy, Texas, Charlotte Gunby of Hallsville, Texas, and Debbie Johnson of Grand Saline, Texas; three sisters, Corrine Sprayberry of Covington, Tenn., Mary Crabtree of Fouke and Janie Cunningham of Texarkana; two brothers, Allen Cornett of Fouke and Roy Gene Cornett of Genoa, Ark.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. <br />Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas, with the Rev. Bill Saxby and Mitch Gunby officiating. Burial will be in Genoa Central Church of Christ Cemetery. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Relatives will be at the family home, 281 Lemley Lane, Fouke. <br />Online registration is www.texarkanafuneralhome.com.
