JERRY NELSON

HOPE, Ark.—Jerry T. Nelson, 73, of Hope died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at his home. <br />Mr. Nelson was born Jan. 5, 1936, in Azar, Ark. He was retired from Meyer’s Bakery. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Jean “Gina” Nelson; and one daughter, Veronica “Mona” Watson. <br />Survivors include four daughters, Jerri Nelson, Gloria Finley, Marilyn Nelson and Linda Conway of Hope; one sister, Annie Gordley of Stockton, Calif.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at St. John Baptist Church, Hope, with the Revs. Benny Jones and Billy Dunn officiating. Burial will be in Azar Cemetery, Azar, under direction of Hicks Funeral Home. <br />Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
