VANNIE DENNIS

NAPLES, Texas—Vannie Mae Dennis, 85, of Omaha, Texas, died Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, in an Omaha nursing home. <br />Mrs. Dennis was born April 30, 1924, in Dalton, Texas. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Dennis; two sons, Steven Dennis and Harry Dennis; one daughter, Rebecca Lennord; and one granddaughter, Catherine Dilly. <br />Survivors include two sons, Don Hank Dennis of Omaha and Monroe Dennis of Burlingame, Calif.; one daughter, Wanda Lindsay of Omaha; one sister, Nora Cable of Naples; one brother and five sisters-in-law, Bud and Sarah Dodson of Daingerfield, Texas, Wanda Dodson, Hazel Dodson and Margaret Carter of Naples and Corrine Dennis of Omaha; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Springhill Cemetery, Naples, with the Rev. Charles Smith officiating. Burial is under direction of Harrison Funeral Home. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
