CODY MERRITT

Cody Lane Merritt, 27, of Redwater, Texas, died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009, of injuries from an automobile accident. <br />Mr. Merritt was born Dec. 1, 1981, in Texarkana, Texas. He was a journeyman electrician for Nantze Electric Co. Inc. and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 301 and Faith Community Baptist Church. <br />Survivors include his wife, Jada Merritt of Redwater; one son, Dayton Merritt of Redwater; two daughters, Briana Merritt and Laini Merritt of Redwater; his parents, Tony Merritt and Teresa Howeth Merritt of Redwater; one sister, Amber Jones of Redwater; his grandparents, Leroy and Mary Merritt of Redwater and Cherry Howeth of Texarkana; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Revs. Augustine Alaniz and David Parish officiating. Burial will be in Redwater Cemetery. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Relatives will be at the home of Leroy and Mary Merritt, 4086 FM 3098, Redwater. <br />Online registration is at www.chapelwoodfuneralhome.com. <br /> <br />
