NEW BOSTON, Texas—Mary Edith Merriman, 86, of New Boston, Texas, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009, in a Texarkana, Texas, hospital. <br />Ms. Merriman was born July 18, 1923, in New Boston. She was retired from Red River Army Depot and member of First Baptist Church, New Boston. <br />Survivors include a number of cousins and other relatives. <br />Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Bates-Rolf Funeral Home with Ken Cox officiating. Burial will be in Ringwood Cemetery, New Boston. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Online registration is at www.batesrolffuneralhome.com. <br /> <br />
