HELEN COLLINS

Helen Collins, 89, of Texarkana, Ark., died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009, at her daughter’s home. <br />Ms. Collins was born Oct. 6, 1919, in Malvern, Ark. She was a member of Montgomery Sunday School Class, United Methodist Women, May Dale Garden Club and First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James G. Collins in 2003; and one son, Hough Collins in 1963. <br />Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Susan and Fred Stotts and Carmen Tye of Texarkana; one sister, Pauline Runyan of Broken Arrow, Okla.; six grandchildren, Janet Hughes and Mike Laden of Golden, Colo., and Todd Tye, Amy Cooper, Chad Tye and Christiane Irvin of Texarkana; 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Memorial services will be 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church, Texarkana with the Revs. Bruce Bennett and Vicky Stephens officiating.
