JOE WILLIAMSON

Joe Shelton Williamson, 92, of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, Sept. 7, 2009 in a local nursing home. <br />Mr. Williamson was born Aug. 21, 1917 in Bowie County, Texas. He was the owner of J-W Ranch, a financial consultant and a member of First Baptist Church, Moores Lane. He was preceded in death by one wife, Velma Zachry Williamson. <br />Survivors include his wife, Helen Beavers Williamson of Texarkana; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Mary Williamson of Maryville, Tenn., and Aven and Sal Williamson of Texarkana; one daughter, Paula Williamson of Fredricksburg, Texas; one sister, Frances Clepper of Wake Village, Texas; five stepchildren; six grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Sims officiating.
