MICHAEL CHAPMAN

DeKALB, Texas—Michael D. “Mike” Chapman, 51, of DeKalb died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2009, in a Tyler, Texas hospital. <br />Mr. Chapman was born June 29, 1958. He was an auto mechanic and a member of Assembly of God. <br />Survivors include his wife, Davida Chapman of DeKalb; one son, Brandon Chapman of DeKalb; one daughter, Abigail Woody of Bossier City, La.; his mother, Velma Chapman of Avery, Texas; four brothers, John Chapman of Huntsville, Texas, Ken Chapman and Jimmy Chapman of Avery, and Gary Chapman of Simms, Texas; two sisters, Kay Roberts of DeKalb and Rebecca Mays of New Boston, Texas; one grandson; and a number of other relatives. <br />Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Pine Springs Cemetery with Daniel Carr officiating. Burial will be under direction of Bates Family Funeral Home. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Relatives will be at the home of Ken and Carolyn Chapman, 155 N.
