MIKE SHIRLEY

DE QUEEN, Ark.—Michael Reed “Mike” Shirley, 62, of De Queen died Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, at his home. <br />Mr. Shirley was born Sept. 27, 1946, in Fredericksburg, Va. He was a retired analyst specialist with Red River Army Depot, a Baptist and a Vietnam War Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by one wife, Nancy Louise Shirley. <br />Survivors include his wife, Joye Lee Miller Shirley of De Queen; one son, Ronald Artis Shirley of Texarkana; one daughter, Abigail Wheeler of Oden, Ark.; one stepson, John Michael Miller of De Queen; two stepdaughters, Sherri Frachiseur of Wickes, Ark., and Elizabeth Gavigan of Chicago; one brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Kay Shirley of Russell County, Ala.; one grandchild, Morgan Shirley; 12 stepgrandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br /> <br />
